North Carolina Department of Corrections Warehouse Expansion
This is a very interesting addition to an existing Department of Corrections facility. The total area of the expansion is 30,000 SF. Because the site slopes down hill, one side of the building requires a cast in place retaining wall ranging approximately 14 feet tall. Once the retaining wall is constructed by the Blair team, the walls will be backfilled creating the pad for the slab on grade. We will then pour then six (6) inch slab in a single pour utilizing our Somero Laser Screed. At that stage we will construct the Tilt Panels which will be set on top of the retaining wall where the retaining wall exists and on the footings in the area where a retaining wall is not required.
