University of North Carolina at Wilmington Creative Arts Academic and Classroom Facility
A wonderful addition to the University of North Carolina at the Wilmington campus. This building will allow the community and student population to enjoy the Arts at the highest possible level. This project involved both structural elevated frame construction and heavy foundations with pile caps and grade beams. We used a hand set forming system for the decks and poured the 24,000 SF – 700 CY deck in a single pour. Also, we formed a large orchestra pit and several bleacher seating areas. In addition, there were composite decks. The schedule and specifications were very challenging. The addition was a turn key project for us.
