Blair Concrete Services was selected as “Safe Contractor of the Month” by two separate clients for the month of April 2011. The first award was given by the Fluor project team at the Talecris job site in Clayton, where Blair is completing the slabs for the NFF project. The second award was in recognition of Blair’s participation in the “Merck Durham Program of Projects” Safety Initiatives at the VBF Expansion site. Blair’s client on that job is Jacobs.

Blair began concrete construction on the Hunt Library in May 2010 at the North Carolina State University Centennial Campus. This facility will be a state-of-the-art library with 250,000 square feet of study rooms, commons areas, faculty areas, teaching & visualization lab, creativity zone, and snack/gaming venues. It will also house the Institute for Emerging Issues. The four level Hunt Library was designed by Swedish firm Snohetta and features an automated book retrieval system (ARS) which can hold nine times more books than conventional shelving. Blair’s turnkey scope is the cast-in-place concrete for the ARS (mud mat/slabs/foundations/walls), core foundations/walls, shear walls, stair/elevator towers, and slabs on deck.

The General Contractor is Skanska USA Building Inc., and completion is scheduled for this fall.

Donley’s is known for its expertise in structural and architectural concrete construction. As a subsidiary of Donley’s, Blair now offers expanded resources including additional concrete formwork inventory, added experienced personnel and the bonding capacity to take on concrete work projects ranging from as little as $100,000 up to $80 million.

Our Vision: To be the premiere concrete contractor in all of our markets.

Our Mission: To provide superior concrete construction at competitive prices, principled by:
